
Not only do the apples keep you healthy but also it’s fun to cook with them. Apple season is here and some delicious recipes are also here:
1. Apple Jam
What do you do to treat your craving for something sweet? Well, Apple Jam will do justice to your tongue. Also jam does not contribute to the cholesterol and fat content of your body. So you can dig into this recipe anytime without worrying about your health.
Ingredients:
- Four Apples (peeled and grated)
- One pinch salt
- One cup sugar
- One tsp lemon juice
Process:
- Take the grated apples in a baking pan and bake it at 170℃ for about 20 minutes until tender.
- Blend the apples until smooth and pass the paste through a sieve.
- Place it in a large pan and add a cup of sugar. Cook over high heat while stirring very frequently.
- Keeping it on the flame, now add a pinch of salt and a tsp of lemon juice.
- Check for the jam to be thick and not runny.
- Pour and store it in a jar.
- The jam is ready to be whipped up on your bread.

2. Apple Halwa
All of you must have heard of sooji halwa, gajar halwa, dudhi halwa etc. Here is this not so heavy dessert, Apple Halwa which will make you forget all other halwas. Anyone can make it for any occasion.
Ingredients:
- Two Apples (peeled and grated)
- Two tbsp Ghee
- Cashews
- Raisins
- ¼ tsp cinnamon powder
- ⅓ Cup sugar
Process:
- Heat a tbsp of ghee in a large pan and add cashews and raisins. Sauté them well. You will get puffy raisins and golden brown cashews.
- Now add grated apples to the same pan. Sauté until the apple is completely dry.
- Add cinnamon powder and sugar. Sauté until the mixture becomes dry again. Add one tbsp of ghee and Sauté until sugar caramelizes.
- Mix in cashews and raisins. Turn off the flame.
- The Apple Halwa is ready. Serve and enjoy warm!

3. Apple Muffin
Apple Muffin is a perfect recipe to serve your breakfast or snacks craving. No one cares about Muffin tops while having muffins. What’s happiness? A freshly baked Apple Muffin is!
Ingredients:
- Two apples (grated)
- 100g raisins
- One cup all-purpose flour
- One tsp baking powder
- One tsp cinnamon powder
- 1/3 cup atta flour
- Two eggs
- ½ cup low-fat milk
- Four tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup caster sugar
Process:
- Preheat oven to 180. Mix all the dry ingredients (all-purpose flour, atta flour, baking powder, cinnamon powder, caster sugar) in a bowl.
- Now mix the eggs, low-fat milk and oil in another bowl. Mix both wet and dry ingredients together then stir in the grated apples and raisins.
- Part the mix into baking cups and cook in the oven for 25 minutes.
- Let them cool.
- Apple Muffins are ready to be packed in tiffins.

4. Apple Murabba
Let’s preserve apples by making Murabba out of them. It’s a way of coating your apples with sugariness and sweetness. This sweet recipe is great for your health and keeps you away from several ailments.
Ingredients:
- One kg apples (peeled and deseeded)
- Water as required
- One kg sugar
- ½ tsp saffron
Process:
- Boil apples in a skillet until softened.
- Make one thread consistency of sugar syrup by boiling 1-litre water and 1 kg sugar for 20-30 minutes.
- Add apples to sugar syrup and boil until it becomes thick.
- Let the mixture cool and add saffron strands or other additives like cardamom seeds.
- Store the Murabba in an airtight container.

5Apple Barfi
Why wait for festivals to gorge on Barfi? Apple Barfi is really easy to make and even easier to gobble up. You can prepare it on any occasion.
Ingredients:
- Two cups apple (Peeled and chopped)
- Four cups Granulated sugar
- Three cups grated coconut
- One tbsp water
- ½ tsp lemon juice
- One tbsp oil
- Two tbsp pista/pistachios
Process:
- Cook granulated sugar, water and grated coconut in a pan for 5 minutes till sugar dissolves
- Add chopped apples to the pan and continue cooking for another 5-6 minutes.
- Take any container and fill it with the mixture and press well to avoid any air gaps.
- Use peeled and finely crushed pista/pistachios to garnish it.
- Let it set in the fridge for 4 hours.
- Cut your Apple Barfi into wedges!

6. Apple Fritters
Crispy on the outside and moist, tender and fluffy on the inside. Hungering much? Try Apple Fritters! This time saver recipe is loved by all.
Ingredients:
- One cup apples (peeled and chopped)
- One cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- One pinch salt
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- One tsp cinnamon powder
- ⅓ cup milk
- One egg
- Two cups powdered sugar and 1 ½ tbsp milk for glaze
Recipe:
- Pass the dry ingredients through a sieve into a bowl. Now stir in milk and egg until combined and fold in the chopped apples.
- Heat oil in a pan. Take spoonfuls of batter and drop them into the hot oil.
- Cook them until both sides are browned.
- Mix milk and powdered sugar for the glaze. Paint the Fritters with glaze on both the sides.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

7. Apple Chips
Here is the perfect anytime snack Apple Chips. This recipe is addicting but healthy too. The Chips out of a fruit, now health won’t matter.
Ingredients:
- 3-4 apples (thinly sliced)
- Four tbsp sugar
- 1 ½ tsp cinnamon
Process:
- Preheat oven to 130. Side by side, line baking sheet with butter paper.
- Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on apple slices or mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and then toss apple slices.
- Line the coated apple slices on the baking sheet.
- Bake the apples for 2 hours until browned.
- Crispy and sweet Chips are ready to be served.

8. Apple Milkshake
Milkshakes have their own territory that has invited apples. Sounds delicious! This fruit based Milkshake is very easy to prepare and is also a way to let proteins and vitamins enter your body.
Ingredients:
- One Apple (peeled and chopped)
- Two cups chilled milk
- One tsp honey
- 1-2 tsp sugar
- Two scoops vanilla ice cream
- Cashews and almonds
Process:
- Blend apple, milk and sugar in a blender.
- Now add honey and ice cream scoops to the blender. Blend until smooth.
- Garnish with apple slices, cashews and almonds.
- Serve chilled !!

9. Apple Kheer
Finishing the dinner or lunch without dessert is incomplete. Kheer is the perfect dessert that makes it divine. Apple Kheer is a delight for the taste buds.
Ingredients:
- Two apples (peeled and grated()
- 3 ½ cups milk
- ¼ cup condensed milk
- Two cardamoms or one pinch cardamom powder
- Almonds (finely chopped)
- Pista/pistachios (finely chopped)
- Two tbsp ghee
- Saffron threads
Process:
- Sauté grated apple in hot ghee until it turns golden.
- Now add milk and let it boil on low flame. Keep stirring to avoid it from burning.
- Add condensed milk, almonds, pista/pistachios and cinnamon powder and mix well.
- Kheer is ready and serve it hot in a bowl. Garnish it with saffron threads and chopped almonds and pista/pistachios.

10.Apple Chutney
Chutney can make anything incredibly tastier. Apple Chutney includes the right amount of tang and sweetness. Since it adds taste to any meal, it’s worth keeping around.
Ingredients:
- Four apples (peeled and chopped)
- ½ cup sugar
- Salt
- ½ tsp rock salt
- ½ tsp ginger (grated)
- One tsp red chili powder
- ¼ tsp cinnamon powder
- Raisins
- ½ tsp vinegar
Process:
- Cook apples and sugar in a heated pan.
- Add salt, rock salt, ginger to pan after the water evaporates and cook on low flame for five minutes.
- Now add red chili powder, vinegar, cinnamon powder and raisins to the same pan, cook for a minute. Let it cool.
- Transfer it to a container.
- Ready to be served with any cuisine.

11. Apple Pulao
When you got to cook something on a short notice it makes you work with haste. It’s hard to whip up a meal at this point of time. Don’t go lunatic! Apple Pulao with the mildly sweet flavor and aroma of delicious tasting apples is the solution.
Ingredients:
- Two Green Apples (chopped)
- 1 ½ cup soaked rice
- Two tbsp ghee
- 4-5 green cardamoms
- 2-3 bay leaves
- One inch cinnamon
- 10-12 black peppercorns
- 5-7 cloves
- One inch finely chopped ginger
- One tsp fennel seeds
- 3-4 green chilies (slit)
- One sliced onion
- One tbsp pomegranate
- One tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- ¼ cup browned onions
Process:
- Cook cloves, fennel seeds, green chilies, green cardamoms, ginger, bay leaves, black peppercorns and cardamom in ghee and sauté for till fragrant.
- Now add sliced onion and sauté for till golden.
- Add apples, pomegranate seeds, chili powder and saltto the pan, sauté for a minute.
- Mix them all with drained rice and add 3 cups water, cover and cook till rice is done.
- Add browned onion and mix well.
- Take a bowl and put Apple Pulao in it.
- Serve hot garnished with browned onions.

12. Apple Sandwich
No one is a stranger to a Sandwich. Everyone loves it. Apple is a flavorful addition to the cliché Sandwiches. This mouth watering recipe needs only four ingredients. That’s it! Enjoy this sweetened up version of a Sandwich.
Ingredients:
- 1-3 apple (sliced)
- Two tbsp butter
- Two pieces whole wheat bread
- 2-3 tbsp peanut butter
Process:
- Spread butter on one side of each piece of bread and place it on a pan.
- Now spread that piece of bread with peanut butter and top it with the sliced apples.
- Now top it with another part of bread spread with butter and place it on pan. Cook till the Sandwich is golden brown.
- Cook both the sides of bread till you get golden brown Sandwiches.
- Cut the sandwich diagonally.
- You can drizzle with caramel and it’s ready to be served.

13. Appilla Cream Slices
Winter is on the horizon and that doesn’t stop us from eating Ice Cream. Try Vanilla ice cream with Apple Slices! You’ll definitely taste heaven.
Ingredients:
- Four apples
- One cup vanilla cream
Process:
- Take the apples and core their centers out and cut them into round slices.
- Cook apples in water until tender.
- Take a plate and arrange the sliced apples on it. Now pour vanilla ice cream on it.
- Once the plate is ready, place it in the refrigerator.
- Serve cold.

14. Apple Salad
The best yummy combination of apple and vegetables in a sweet dressing is the Apple Salad. It’s not only an accompaniment to main dishes but can also be a super meal. This salad is very pleasing to the taste buds.
Ingredients:
- One red apple (cored and sliced)
- One green apple (cored and sliced)
- Three cups cabbage (chopped)
- Two onions (thinly chopped)
- One carrot (grated)
- ½ cup red bell pepper (finely chopped)
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- One tbsp lemon juice
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
Process:
- Put together red apple, green apple, cabbage, carrot, red bell pepper, and onions in a large bowl.
- Now mix mayonnaise, brown sugar, and lemon juice.
- Pour it on the salad.
- The Salad is ready to be served.

15. Fruity Apple Cups
Fruity Apple Cups is a mix and match of different fruits in the center scooped Apples. This is a creative way to serve fruits in a food party.
Ingredients:
- Two apples
- One tsp lemon juice
- One cup chopped fruits (apple, pear, banana, strawberry, pomegranate, and sapodilla)
- One tsp fruit chaat masala
Process:
- Cut the Apples in halves (horizontally) and scoop the centers of both the halves with the help of a spoon.
- Avoid Apples from turning brown by rubbing lemon juice on the scoops.
- Now take the mixed fruits in a bowl and sprinkle chaat masala to enhance the taste.
- Now put the fruit salad equally in the cups.

16. Crisp it up with Apple and Strawberry
When juicy strawberries and crispy apples are tucked in a crust, the world becomes a better place for you. So just crisp it up with Apple and Strawberry.
Ingredients:
- 2-3 apples (cored & chopped)
- 4-5 strawberries (thinly sliced)
- 15-20 rolled oats
- Two tbsp sugar
- Two tbsp whole wheat flour
- One tsp cinnamon powder
- Three tbsp brown sugar
- Two tbsp butter (chilled & diced)
Process:
- Preheat the oven to 190°C.
- Take an ovenproof dish and put apples in it. Add the sliced strawberries to it, sprinkle sugar and mix.
- Mix whole wheat flour, cinnamon powder and brown sugar in a bowl of oats. Now add butter and mix with fingertips so that it looks like bread crumbs. Cover the fruits with this mixture.
- Bake it for about twenty minutes.
- Apple Strawberry Crisp is ready and serves warm.

17. Apple Pie
Angels start singing when we talk about Pie. There’s a pie to suit each and every taste. Apple Pie is just like Apple itself telling us the story of flaky, tender and delicious crumbles.
Ingredients:
- One cup apples (chopped)
- Six measures refined flour
- 60g butter (chilled & diced)
For filling:
- Four apples (peeled and sliced)
- ½ tsp cinnamon powder
- One cup sugar
- One beaten egg yolk
Process:
- Preheat the oven to 200.
- Mix flour and sugar well in a bowl, add diced butter and rub it with your fingertips till you get the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Make the dough by sprinkling 5 tbsp water. Divide the dough into two equal balls.
- Lightly flour a surface and roll out a ball into a disc of about 12inches in diameter. Line it into a nine-inch pie dish without stretching it much.
- Trim off the excess dough. Roll it out into a rectangle of a ⅛ inch thickness and cut out half inch strips using a sharp knife.
- Boil apples in a cup of water till moisture is absorbed. Let it cool then mix cinnamon powder.
- Spread the apple mixture over the lined pie dish.
- Cover it with the strips in a crisscross pattern. Bake for 45 minutes.
- Let it cool.
- Cut into wedges and enjoy the Pie!

18. Apple Sandesh
Apple Sandesh is basically a mouth watering delicacy from Bengal which you can make for all festivals. Sandesh has been given a tag of happiness as it’s prepared in a joyous and happy atmosphere.
Ingredients
- One apple (grated)
- One tsp lemon juice
- Two tbsp sugar
- One tsp saffron strands
- ½ cup chopped paneer
- Two tbsp powdered sugar
- Four tsp low-fat milk
- Kewra essence
- 3-4 Chopped almonds and pista/pistachios
Process:
- Dissolve saffron strands in warm water.
- Cook lemon juice, sugar, One tbsp water and the grated apples on a medium flame for 8 to 10 minutes.
- For Sandesh, combine paneer, powdered sugar, low-fat milk and a few drops of Kewra essence in a mixture and blend until smooth.
- Refrigerate for 15 minutes and make balls.
- Place the balls on a plate and top them with Apple mix.
- Garnish it with some saffron strands, almonds, and pista/pistachios.
- Soft and creamy Sandesh is ready to be served.

19. Apple soup
A recipe to fight off cold, amuse your spirits and warm your taste buds. Apple soup is healthy, tart, spicy and creamy.
Ingredients:
- Two apples (cored and chopped)
- Two sweet potatoes (chopped)
- Four cups cauliflower florets
- 1/2 cup onions (chopped)
- One tbsp olive oil
- Six cups vegetable stock/puree
- One tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp chili powder
- One inch fresh ginger (grated)
- salt and pepper to taste
- Some chives
Process:
- Cook onions in oil for 3-5 minutes until softened.
- Add ginger, garam masala and chili powder to the onions and cook for a minute.
- Now put in cauliflower florets, apples, and sweet potato and pour in vegetable stock/puree. Bring to boil, and then simmer for about 15 minutes.
- When cool, blend the soup until it becomes velvety and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the soup in bowls topped with chives.

20.Apple Iced Tea
Want something refreshing and thirst quenching? Go for Apple iced tea. Adding apple is just a way to remind you of the fall season and also to add a little sweetness to the mainstream iced teas.
Ingredients:
- Two cups chilled apple juice
- Four green tea bags
- One tbsp honey
- Green apples (sliced)
- Ice cubes
Process:
- Boil water in a pan, add honey and dip in tea bags. Remove tea bags and sift the mixture in a different bowl.
- Refrigerate the mix to chill.
- Now pour apple juice and add ice and cover.
- Pour into a glass and garnish it with sliced apples.
- Serve the chilled iced tea.
