  • Heat up a frying pan in moderately low temperature, pour some butter and allow melting. Spread whole butter on the frying pan evenly and place the sandwich on the pan. Fry it on low heat until the bread crust turns golden and the cheese and chocolate start melting. Serve warm!

20. Blueberry Waffle Grilled Cheese

The perfectly sweet grilled cheese sandwich for mealtime, crunchy on the exterior and soft in the interior full of juicy blueberries!

Ingredients:

  • Blueberries – 1 ½ cup
  • Lemon Zest – One Tablespoon
  • Lemon Juice – Two Tablespoons
  • Sugar – One Tablespoon
  • Butter – Two Tablespoons
  • Waffles – 8 pieces
  • Brie Cheese – 4 ounces

Instructions:

  • In a standard saucepan, add lemon juice, blueberries, sugar and lemon zest. Boil it for few minutes until thick sauce forms stirring occasionally. Set aside for later use.
  • In the meantime, heat some butter in a waffle iron and place a piece of waffle in it. Pour brie cheese on the top and spread evenly, top with the blueberry syrup that was prepared earlier.
  • Spread some more cheese on the top and then cover it with another waffle piece. Apply some butter on the top of the waffle piece and cover the iron lid.
  • Heat for few moments until the cheese starts melting and the waffle turns golden brown and crispy.
  • Repeat this procedure with rest of the waffle pieces and serve warm.
  • Garnish with blueberry syrup if left over or garnish with one tablespoon of honey for extra sweetness and finally top with a scoop of ice-cream of your choice. (Optional)
