Hence, here are 20 scrumptious ‘easy-to-cook’ recipes for the 20-year-olds who are gaga over chicken and can be the ‘chef’ of their kitchen.
Breakfast is unquestionably the most important meal. It boosts you up with the energy to go on with your daily routine.
1 Basic Chicken Sandwich
Perfect for those who like to keep their first meal simple. All you need to do is shred your chicken and marinate it with a pinch of salt, 1 tbsp each of black pepper, paprika, and oregano. Then, on two slices of bread, (brown or white), add two slices of cheese, some lettuce leaves and chopped onions for a crunchy feel and a sauce of your choice (mayonnaise, hot sauce, etc.). Toast bread and serve it with the toppings of your choice.
2 Chicken waffle
What better start to your day when you can munch on a combination of chicken and waffles. For this, you need to first start with chopping the chicken (preferably two breast pieces) into bite size pieces. Then in a large Ziploc bag, make a mixture of ¼ cup of milk and two scrambled eggs and add the chicken pieces to this mixture and seal it. Allow it to settle in the refrigerator for an hour. Next, create a combination of 1 ½ cup of flour, 1 ½ tbsp baking powder, 1 tbsp each of salt and black pepper in another large Ziploc bag. In this bag add the chicken, by taking it out of the egg mixture, and shake it well so as to cover the chicken with the flour mixture. Place the waffles (8 mini egg waffle sheets, 32 mini waffles) in the oven and cook it for about 5 minutes on 400֯. Then take a pan and add a little oil by heating it on medium flame. Place the chicken in the pan and fry it for about 5 minutes by repeatedly turning it. When both your waffles and chicken are cooked, place the chicken over each waffle and garnish it with syrup.
3 Coffee chicken
If you’re a coffee lover, this is just the kind of recipe for you. First, start by taking a boiled skinless breast piece. Create a mixture of 2 tbsp each of melted butter, ground coffee, brown sugar, salt, black pepper and one garlic clove. Preheat the oven to over 375֯. Brush this mixture thoroughly all over the chicken and then roast it for about 20 minutes in a baking pan. Your coffee infused chicken is ready to savor.
4 Hash it up
Chicken and egg combination is a classic way of pampering your appetite in the morning. Take a pan and melt 2 tbsp of unsalted butter in 2 tbsp of extra-virgin olive-oil. In this add two garlic cloves, 1 cup of finely chopped green bell pepper, ½ tsp. Finely chopped thyme, 3/4 cup of finely chopped onions, two large jalapeños which are stemmed, seeded and minced, a pinch of salt and black pepper. Cook on medium flame by repeatedly stirring till it’s turned brown and softened for about 7 minutes. Then bake one large potato, peal it and slice it into ½-inch dice, 2 ½ cups and stir this with 2 cups of shredded chicken along with the rest of the mixture and flatten it with a spatula. Cook on high flame till it’s crusty on the bottom for about 5 minutes. Now turn this flattened mixture (hash) over and cook until its brown on the other side too. Once that’s done, make four depressions in the hash and tactfully crack four eggs in each part respectively. Season it with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Cover the pan and cook on medium flame for 4 minutes till the egg whites set. You choose to either keep the yolk runny or cooked. Enjoy this delicious meal by garnishing it with grated cheese and the sauce of your choice.
5 Crunchy Mix
This one here is a healthy combination of both fruits and chicken. Shred a large breast piece of roasted chicken and keep it aside. Take an orange and squeeze out its juice, mixing it with 1/3 cup of light mayonnaise to make the dressing. Season this with a pinch of black pepper and peel and section the remaining oranges by cutting into the center between one section and membrane to free the section. Then on a salad plate arrange small pieces of apples that are finely chopped and baby lettuces. Sprinkle with ¼ cup of pecan halves and mix the chicken with the dressing. Your salad is now ready to eat.

6 Dahi Handi chicken
Beginning with making a paste of 2 green chilies, marinate 500 grams of chicken with 250 grams of curd, chilli paste, ½ tbsp ginger paste, ½ tbsp garlic paste, 2 pinches of salt and a pinch of elichie powder. Keep this mixture aside for minimum of two hours so that the chicken catches the flavor. Now on a medium flame pan, add 1 tbsp of butter, two large chopped onions, and two chillies and fry it till the onions turn light pink. To this, add the chicken and cook for 2 minutes and later let it simmer for around 15 minutes. Add ½ cup water to this gravy and stir. Your chicken is ready and best served with roti, paratha or naan.
7 Kebab Delight
For this finger-licking starter, you first have to marinate 250 grams of boneless chicken pieces. Start with adding 3 tbsp of thick curd, 2 tbsp of olive oil or sesame oil, a pinch of salt, 1 ½ tbsp of lime juice and ¾ tsp. of cumin, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, pepper and coriander (garam masala). Add about two tbsp. of ginger garlic and one tbsp. of red chili powder or paprika. Finally, cut an onion in a circular way and separate the layers. For best results, leave this chicken overnight in the refrigerator or if in a hurry leave it for about 4 hours. Pre-heat your oven to 240֯ for about 20 minutes. Now after the given time, place your chicken along with the onions on the skewers and placing them on a tray, grill it in the oven for 15 minutes. Once your chicken turns soft and juicy, you take it out and relish it best with green mint chutney.
8 Chicken Chili Mac and Cheese
For all you cheese and macaroni lovers, here’s a special one. You start by boiling 4 ounce of water to which you add 230 grams of elbow macaroni and a slight pinch of salt for taste. Cook for about 8 minutes till it’s soft and cooked. Drain out the excess water and keep aside the macaroni to cool. Now taking 450 grams of boneless chicken, add ¼ tsp. of salt and a pinch of black pepper. Add 1 tbsp olive oil to a pan and place the chicken in it along with 1 tbsp each of chili powder, ground cumin, and four finely chopped garlic cloves and stir them all together. Now add one chopped tomato and 3 tbsp canned and diced green chillies, cooking it for 2 minutes. Now create a combination of 1 ½ cup of milk and 2 tbsp of all-purpose flour in a bowl and whisk it. Add this mixture to the pan and cook for 3 minutes till it’s slightly thickened. Now grate 1 ½ cup of cheese and add this to the pan. Gradually add the macaroni along with ¼ tbsp of salt and pepper. Once it’s cooked and all the ingredients have blended, garnish it with oregano and parsley. It tastes best with garlic bread.
How often does your mouth water every time someone says ‘chicken biryani’? It might be a slightly tricky to cook but will be worth the efforts. Basmati rice is mostly recommended, hence start by soaking 2 cups of rice. In the meantime, marinate the chicken with 1 ½ tbsp of curd, one tbsp. of ginger garlic paste, one tbsp. of salt, ¼ tbsp. of turmeric, ¼ tbsp. of red chili powder and ¾ tbsp. of garam masala powder and leave it aside for a while. Add 2 tbsp of oil in a pot along with one bay leaf, three green cardamoms and six cloves, small cinnamon sticks, ½ tbsp. of jeera and sauté till it gets fried. Now add one finely chopped onion and fry till it turns golden along with 1 ½ tbsp. ginger and garlic paste. Add your marinated chicken and fry till the colour changes and later add one chopped tomato, ¼ tbsp. Red chili powder, 1 ½ tbsp curd and coriander and mint leaves (12 each). Cook this till your chicken softens and then add the garam masala. Once your chicken is cooked, mix three ¼ cups of either water or thin coconut milk and salt (for taste) in a separate bowl and pour it into the pot so as to bring it to boil. Add the rice to the pot after draining out all the water. Cover the pot and continue cooking till most of the water is soaked up for about 5 minutes on a very low flame. You can garnish it with a spoon of ghee and coriander leaves or even boiled eggs. Biryani goes well with raita and don’t forget to enjoy every bite.
10 Honey-Lime Chicken Rice
Honey and lime is a combination of sweet and tangy that leaves you wanting for more. To begin with, marinate four chicken thighs with two tbsp of olive oil, juice of 2 limes, 1 tbsp of honey two minced garlic cloves, ½ tbsp. of turmeric and ¼ tbsp. of ground ginger and place it in the refrigerator by covering it with a plastic bag for around 2 hours. Pre-heat your oven to 425֯. In a pan (oven- proof skillet) with olive oil as to coat the bottom, season the marinated chicken with salt and black pepper and add the marinade to the pan skin-side down. Cook till the skin turns golden and crispy and later flip the chicken and cook it for some more time. Now place this pan in the oven and bake the chicken for another 12 minutes. Serve with rice by garnishing it with coriander and mint leaves and lime for taste. Also, add the excess pan drippings to the rice for more flavor.

11 Chicken Frankie
Using 1 ½ cup of plain flour, salt and water, make a soft dough and keep it aside. Make a chili vinegar combination by adding three chopped green chilies in 4 tbsp of vinegar and keep it aside so that the vinegar absorbs the flavor of the chili. Next make a spicy powder by adding a pinch of salt, one tbsp. Red chili powder and 2 tbsp. Chaat masala and thoroughly mix it. Now for the the filing, you need to sauté one sliced onion in a vessel with 2 tbsp of oil till it changes to light brown. Then add 1 tbsp each of ginger and garlic paste and continue frying it for 2 minutes. Add 1 tbsp of coriander powder, one tbsp. red chilli powder, ½ tbsp. Turmeric powder sautés it followed by adding 300 grams of boneless strips pieces, salt and one medium sized chopped tomatoes with a little water and mix them well, cooking it for about 1 minutes. Once the chicken is cooked, and water is dried up remove it from the vessel. After completing the chicken, make the roti and cook it on a hot pan as well as beat four eggs. On the same pan add two tbsp. Oil and pour a little of the beaten egg on it and place a roti above it and then turn it upside down and cook it. Next add few pieces of finely chopped onion, chicken pieces, chili vinegar and sprinkle the powder and roll it. Your chicken Frankie is now ready to be eaten.
12 Chicken Keema
Start with frying dry spices and add one finely chopped onion, two green chilies to it. Now add ½ tbsp of ginger garlic paste followed by ½ a chopped tomato and fry till it turns soft. Add 1 tbsp of garam masala and one tbsp. of chilli powder and a few curry leaves and continue frying. Now remove this mixture on a plate for a while and add two bay leaves to the pan with ½ tbsp of oil and 200 grams keema, ½ tbsp salt and turmeric and cook it on low flame. Now add back the mixture to the pan and stir well, mixing it all up. You can add some chopped coriander or mint leaves to this as well.
13 Chicken Skewers with Satay Dip
Take 220 grams of chicken mini fillets and slice them into finger size length. Now mix this with 2 tbsp each of soy and sweet chili sauce. Thread onto skewers and later arrange them on a baking tray and cover it with a cling wrap and freeze it. Keep this in the fridge overnight and then cook it at 200֯ for 10 minutes. Now let’s make the dip. For that, you’ll need to combine 4 tbsp each of peanut butter and milk. Scatter on it some coriander leaves and chopped peanuts to enhance the flavor.
14 Chicken Canapés
For this, you will need have 2 cups of cooked chicken. Mix it along with ¾ cup of mayonnaise and a pinch of black pepper, one finely chopped green chili and 1 tbsp garlic. Now using some miniature party rye breads, put on it some onions for a crunchy taste (1/4 cup) and your chicken mixture. Sprinkle over it a cup of cheddar cheese. Next, put these in the oven and broil till it brown and bubbly. Sprinkle it with mint leaves or chilies. Enjoy your canapés along with a hot cup of tea.
15 Chicken BBQ Wings
Here is the easiest way to prepare everyone’s all-time favorite dish. To begin with, pre-heat the oven to 350֯. Then, combine 2 cups of ketchup, ½ cup of cider vinegar, ½ cup water, 1 lemon juice,2 tbsp each of Worcestershire sauce, sulphured molasses and Dijon mustard and chili powder in a saucepan. Now add a little salt and freshly ground black pepper, ¼ cup of dark brown sugar, two tbsp. Each finely minced garlic and smoked paprika. Cook this on medium flame by repeatedly stirring for about 12 minutes, making sure that it doesn’t boil. Straining out the garlic, keep the mixture to cool for some time. Rinse 30 chicken wings and use a sharp knife to separate it at the joint. Now place the wings in a large bowl and mix it well with 1 ½ cup of sauce. Arrange the pieces in a single layer on a baking tray and bake it for about 40 minutes. Serve your delicious BBQ wings hot and don’t forget to sprinkle some scallions on it.

16 Cream of Chicken Soup
When you plan on keeping it light, this creamy delight serves best. Melt 2 tbsp of butter in a large bowl and add ¼ cup of finely chopped onion, one tsp. Minced garlic, ¼ cup of celery and sauté till it softens followed by adding 1/3 cup of all-purpose flour. Continue cooking this for about 3-4 minutes. It’s time to add in ½ cup each of milk and light cream and 3 cups of chicken broth till it beings to thicken. Don’t stop stirring till it comes to a boil. Decrease the heat and add a cup of cooked chicken pieces along with ¼ tsp. Each white pepper and black pepper and ½ tsp. Salt as well as 1/8 tsp. Ground cayenne pepper. Your soup is now almost ready. Cook it for another 2 to 3 minutes. Serve it along with some bread sticks.
17 Tandoori Tadka
Start by adding 3 tbsp of ginger garlic paste, four tbsp of Red chili paste, two tbsp. Chaat masala, 1 tbsp oil, 3 tbsp curd, a pinch of salt and juice of ½ a lemon. To prepare an exclusive tandoori masala you need to dry roast 1 tbsp of black peppercorns, two sticks of cinnamon, five green cardamoms and three brown cardamoms. Then add two tbsp. Coriander seeds, two tbsp. Cumin seeds, one bay leaf, three cloves and 2/4 tsp. of turmeric all in a pan. Then grind this dry roast till it turns into fine powder. It will add more flavor to your chicken. Now apply this paste thoroughly on eight large chicken pieces of your choice. Let it marinate for about 30 minutes. Then grill at 250֯ for about 20 minutes. Serve this with green chutney and onion rings to enhance the taste.
18 Pizza Treat
Preheat the oven to 450֯. Take one portion of fresh pizza dough and cover it keeping aside at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Now heat a large skillet on medium flame and add 1 ½ tbsp. Olive oil, two boneless chicken breasts chopped into fine pieces and fry it for about 5 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan once its cooked and once again add 1 tbsp of olive oil along with ¼ cup of vertically sliced onion, 4 ounces of cremini mushrooms sliced and 1 tbsp. of chopped garlic and simultaneously stir it. Now it’s time to make the base by punching down the dough and forming it into a large flat circle (14- inch). Brush your dough with one tbsp. oil and sprinkle it with 3 cups of shredded cheese. Arrange the chicken mixture accordingly on the dough along with the vegetables, one red bell pepper sliced and¾ tsp. red pepper. Add another 1 cup of cheese over the toppings so that it melts. Bake it for 20 minutes. Don’t forget to sprinkle some herbs over your pizza once it’s ready and cut it into slices.
19 Chicken Maggi
It surely tops everyone’s list as the quickest as well as the tastiest. All you’ve got to do is boil the Maggi as per the instructions. Add the tastemaker preferably the masala one along with half a chicken cube. One tbsp. of oregano, one tbsp. of black pepper, few green peas and finely chopped coriander will enhance the taste. Now add a bowl of cooked shredded chicken and stir it along with the noodles. If you are a cheese lover, grate some on your Maggi. It’s ready within 5 minutes. Maggi! Maggi! Maggi!
20 Basic cooked Chicken
If you want to keep it simple, this one’s the best for you. So, you start by taking two boneless pieces and marinate it with 2 tbsp of flour, 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste, one chicken cube, ½ tbsp each of black pepper and chili powder and 1 tbsp of curd. Leave this aside for 30 minutes and then shallow fry it with 1 tbsp of olive oil for about 15 minutes till your chicken is nice and soft. Garnish it with mint leaves and the dip of your choice.
