Main Course Meals Eaten During Ramadan

During Ramadan, there are two primary meals. Sehri is the meal eaten before dawn and iftar is eaten after sunset. After fasting for a whole day one needs to prepare for iftar. So, usually meals consist of foods that need less preparation or less ingredients. Here are some main course meals eaten during Ramadan. Foods from many countries are included here like India, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, etc.

1.Biryani

Many regions in South Asia see biryani as one of the most famous dishes. It is known to be a part of Mughlai cuisine, brought to India by the Mughals. The ingredients include chicken thigh, rice, cloves, bay leaves, onion, saffron, coriander, yogurt, ginger, turmeric, garam masala, cumin, and oil.

Haleem is a stew or curry type preparation popular in South Asia and Middle Eastern Region. This dish is found in many restaurants and shops during this month.
