Oats is a very healthy food to have but most of us don’t have it only due to its taste. It is not very tasty. So, here are 20 easy recipes of the oats which are very tasty and do not take away the nutritional value of the oats!

Curd Oats
Curd is known for soothing our digestive system. Here is a recipe that combines it with Oats, which is a perfect combo!
Ingredients-
- Oats- 1 cup
- Fresh Curd- 1 & ½ cup
- Green chillies
- Grated Cucumber- ½ cup
- Chopped Onion- ½ cup
Steps-
- In a large bowl, combine oats, green chillies, curd, grated cucumber and onion. Mix them well.
- Let it stand for 5 minutes so that the oats become a little soft.
- You can sprinkle a bit of chilli powder or Imli Chutney on top to enjoy this dish!

Oats Cookies
From kids to the oldies, everyone is fond of Cookies. So, add nutritional value to it using oats!
Ingredients-
- Oats- 3 cups
- Eggs- 2
- Butter
- Cinnamon Powder
- Sugar- 2 cups
- Baking soda
- Salt
- Baking flour- ½ cup
- Powdered Oats- 1 cup
- Vanilla Extract
Steps-
- Take a bowl, mix butter, sugar, cinnamon powder and vanilla extract. Beat two eggs into the mixture and stir well.
- Add flour, salt, baking soda and oats to the bowl.
- Mix it well. Once it becomes thick, place them in the shape of circle on a tray.
- Bake them for 8-10 minutes. Once they are baked properly, serve them warm!

Oats Bhurji
Like the Egg Bhurji, here is the Oats Bhurji for all the vegetarians.
Ingredients-
- Oats- 2 tablespoons
- Paneer- ½ bowl
- Chopped Onion- ½ cup
- Chopped Green Chillies- ¼ cup
- Salt
Steps-
- Grate the Paneer and drain the water from it. Put it into a bowl and add Oats, chopped onion, green chilies and salt to it.
- Mix it well and transfer it to a pan. Let it cook till it gets dry. Scramble in between so that it gets a look like Bhurji.
- Garnish with coriander and serve hot.

Oats Appam
Let’s try something South-Indian with Oats. Here is Oats Appam which is very tempting!
Ingredients-
- Oats- 1 cup
- Rava- 1 cup
- Sour Curd- 1 cup
- Chana Dal- 3 tablespoon
- Chopped Onion- ½ cup
- Chopped Coriander- ¼ cup
- Chopped Curry Leaves- ¼ cup
- Green Chili paste- 1 tablespoon
- Salt
Steps-
- Let Chana Dal soak for 1-2 hours. After this, drain them.
- Put Rava and Oats in a pan and dry roast them. Once they change their colour, grind them in a mixer.
- Put this powder into a bowl and beat curd in it. To make it into a batter, pour in enough water.
- Add baking soda and salt to this batter and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
- Heat Aebliskeverpan and apply oil to it. Put the batter using a spoon in this pan and cover with a lid.
- Let it cook till they become golden-brown in colour.
- Oats Appam is ready! Serve with green chutney.

Oats Upma
Tired of eating the same Rava Upma? Let’s give a nutritional twist to Upma with Oats.
Ingredients-
- Dry Roasted Oats- 1 cup
- Chopped Carrot- ¼ cup
- Chopped Beans- ¼ cup
- Green peas- ¼ cup
- Chopped Onion- ¼ cup
- Chopped Green chilies- 1 tablespoon
- Ginger
- Turmeric Powder- ½ teaspoon
- Water- 1 cup
- Ghee/Oil
- Mustard Seeds
- Cloves- 2
- Curry Leaves
Steps-
- Place a heavy bottomed vessel on gas. Heat oil and cloves in it. Add mustard seeds, whole spices and curry leaves, and fry them for a minute.
- Put onions, ginger, carrots, beans and green chilies in this vessel and saute them. Next, you should add turmeric powder and salt.
- Pour a cup of water in this vessel and cover with a lid. Let the water get reduced to half.
- Next, add the dry roasted oats and cover it with lid for 3 minutes.
- Mix well and garnish with coriander and serve.

Instant Oats Idli
We all know that the batter for Idli takes a lot of time. But, if you want to make it instantly, then here is a perfect recipe for you!
Ingredients-
- Ground Oats- 1 & ½ cup
- Rava- 1 cup
- Yoghurt- 1 cup
- Grated Carrot- ¼ cup
- Salt
- Eno Salt
- Mustard Seeds- ½ teaspoon
- Black Gram Dal- 1 teaspoon
- Hing- ½ teaspoon
- Green Chilies
- Curry Leaves
- Coriander Leaves
- Oil
Steps-
- In a heavy bottomed vessel, heat oil and add mustard seeds to it. When they splutter, add urad dal, chopped green chilies and curry leaves. Fry them for 1 minute.
- Put the grated carrot, Rava and coriander leaves. Saute it for about 4-5 minutes.
- Once it gets cool, add the Oats powder, salt and curd to it. Stir to make a thick batter.
- Apply some oil on the Idli plates. Just before you put batter on it, add Eno salt to it and mix well. Now, pour the batter into the Idli plates.
- Let them steam for 12-15 minutes. Serve it hot with Chutney.

Veg Oats Garlic Soup

Ingredients-
- Chopped Garlic- 2 tablespoon
- Chopped and boiled vegetables like carrot, beans and cauliflower
- Oil
- Chopped Onions- ¼ cup
- Ground Black Pepper
- Oats- 2 tablespoon
- Chopped Coriander
Steps-
- Saute onions and garlic in a preheated pan in little oil.
- Put all the mixed vegetables, water (3 cups), pepper and salt to it. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir it and add Oats to the mixture. Let it cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Once cooked, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

Oats Ravadhokla

Ingredients-
- Rava- ½ cup
- Oats Flour- ½ cup
- Grated ginger- 1 teaspoon
- Salt
- Yoghurt- ½ cup
- Eno Salt
- Oil
- Sesame Seeds- ½ teaspoon
- Mustard Seeds- ½ teaspoon
Steps-
- Mix Rava, Oats Flour, salt and grated ginger in a bowl. Pour curd in it and mix well.
- Pour in water to make a thick mixture.
- Add Eno salt and one teaspoon of water to it. Let the batter become frothy and light.
- Steam this batter for 10-15 minutes. To add tadka to the Dhokla, heat a pan with some oil in it. Put mustard and sesame seeds in it.
- Transfer the steamed batter into a plate and cut them into square pieces. Pour the tadka over the Dhokla pieces and serve them with green Chutney.

Oats Spinach Green Cutlet
With spinach and Oats together, this is a perfect snack for your kid so that they get all the nutrients!
Ingredients-
- Oats – 1 cup
- Steamed Green Peas- ½ cup
- Chopped Spinach- 1 cup
- Chopped Green Chillies- ¼ cup
- Chopped Coriander
- Grated Ginger
- Salt
- Black Pepper- 1 teaspoon
- Lemon Juice
- Oil
Steps –
- Dry roast the Oats in a pan. Transfer them to a plate. Now, add spinach to the pan and fry it till it gets dry. Let it cool.
- Add all the green vegetables and the Oats to the mixer and blend them to make a coarse mixture.
- Apply little oil on the hands and make flat cCutlets of the mixture.
- On a preheated pan, pour some oil and fry the Cutlets, till they become golden brown and crisp.
- Once they are ready, serve hot with ketchup or chutney.

Oats Uttapam
Here is another South Indian recipe with a little twist added to it.
Ingredients-
- Powdered Oats- 1 cup
- Whole Wheat Bread
- Rice flour- 1/3 cup
- Rava- 1/3 cup
- Baking Soda
- Cumin Seeds
- Yoghurt- ½ cup
- Grated Carrot- ¼ cup
- Chopped Capsicum- ¼ cup
- Chopped Onion- ¼ cup
- Grated Ginger
- Chopped Green Chillies- ¼ cup
- Coriander Leaves
Steps-
- Combine Whole WheatBread, Oats powder, rava, rice flour, cumin seeds and salt and mix them. Pour yoghurt and baking soda to it. Add water and mix to make a thick batter.
- Let it stand for 15-20 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix all the vegetables and keep them aside.
- Heat a pan with a little oil in it. Pour the thick batter into the pan and spread like a pancake.
- Sprinkle chopped onion and vegetables over the batter and let it cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Your Oats Uttapam is ready to be eaten with Chutney or Pickle.

Oats Kheer

Ingredients-
- Oats- ½ cup
- Milk- ½ litre
- Chopped Dry Fruits- ¼ cup
- Sugar
- Chopped Fruits- ¼ cup
Steps-
- In a pan, dry roast the Oats.
- In another pan, combine milk and sugar and start heating it.
- Add oats to it and keep stirring it continuously.
- Add dry fruits and cardamom to this mixture while it turns thick.
- You may add chopped fruits as well to add to the taste.
- Serve warm.

- Oats- 1 cup
- Powdered Jaggery- ½ cup
- Ghee
- Cashew- ¼ cup
- Raisins- ¼ cup
- Almonds- ¼ cup
- Cardamom Powder- ¼ tablespoon
Steps-
- Take a pan and roast the Oats in it. When it cools, make a powder of it.
- Make powder of jaggery as well. Dry roast the dry fruits and chop them.
- Take a large bowl and mix oats, jaggery, chopped nuts and cardamom. Mix ghee in this mixture.
- Once the mixture is ready, make small balls of it and serve.

Oats Puliyogare

Ingredients-
- Oats- 1 cup
- Water- ¾ cup
- Turmeric Powder- ¼ teaspoon
- Salt
- Roasted Peanuts- ¼ cup
- Oil
- Mustard Seeds- ½ teaspoon
- Split Gram Dal- 1 teaspoon
- Bengal Gram- 1 & ½ teaspoon
- Green Chillies- ¼ cup
- Red chillies- ¼ cup
- Coriander Leaves
Steps-
- In a heavy bottomed pan, add and turn on the flame. Once the oil starts heating, put mustard seeds, gram dal and fry them.
- Once this is done, add chilies, turmeric powder and curry leaves as well. Add salt and water and let it boil.
- After it starts boiling, add Oats. Put on the lid let it cook for 5 minutes.
- After this is done, add lemon juice and let it cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- Once it gets cooked properly, transfer it to a dish and garnish with peanuts and coriander.

Oats Vegetable Pancake
Let’s try a pancake with oats that is very healthy and tasty!
Ingredients-
- Oats- ½ cup
- Flour- ¼ cup
- Whole wheat flour- ¼ cup
- Grated Carrot- ¼ cup
- Grated Cabbage- ¼ cup
- Chopped coriander- 2 tablespoons
- Chili powder
- Salt
- Cumin Seeds- ½ teaspoon
- Water- 1 cup
Steps-
- Combine all the ingredients listed above to make the batter. Mix it till it gets a good consistency.
- Once the batter is ready, heat a pan with some oil in it.
- Pour the batter and spread it in a circular shape. Let it become golden-brown in colour so that it cooks properly.

Oats Pongal

Ingredients-
- Oats- 1 cup
- Moong Dal- ½ cup
- Turmeric Powder- ½ teaspoon
- Salt
- Water- 3 cups
- Oil
- Pepper Corns- 1 teaspoon
- Jeera
- Curry Leaves
- Chopped Ginger
- Chopped Green Chillies
- Hing
Steps-
- Pour some oil and pepper corn in a pressure cooker base. Once it starts spluttering, put green chillies, jeera, ginger and curry leaves to it. Let it fry for a minute.
- After a minute, add Moong Dal and let it get roasted for a minute. Pour in 2-3 cups of water along with turmeric powder, salt and hing. Once the water starts to boil, add oats to the mixture.
- Next, close the lid of the cooker and let it cook for 1 whistle.
- Once the steam is released, open the cooker and serve the Pongal with Ghee!

Oats Methithepla
Most of us are very fond of Theples, especially Gujaratis and so here is Oats added to Theplas so that they become healthier!
Ingredients-
- Oats- 1 cup
- Flour- 1 cup
- Whole Wheat Flour- 1 cup
- Gram Flour- 2 teaspoon
- Green Chili and Ginger paste
- Sour Yoghurt- ½ cup
- Sesame Seeds
- Salt
- Turmeric Powder- ½ teaspoon
- Chopped Methi and Coriander
Steps-
- Put Oats in a mixer and grind it to make a powder. Also, dry roast gram flour.
- Put both these in a bowl, add oil and little water to rub it into soft dough.
- Heat a pan with some oil in it. Till the pan gets heated, roll a small portion of dough into a circle.
- Place it on the pan and let it cool properly.
- Once this is done, serve with pickle, ketchup or Chutney.

Oats Moong Dal Tikki

Ingredients-
- Moong Dal- ½ cup
- Oats- ½ cup
- Yoghurt- 2 tablespoons

- Ginger and Garlic paste
- Chat Masala
- Red Chili Powder
- Turmeric Powder
- Garam Masala
- Chopped Coriander Leaves

Steps-
- Soak Moong dal in a lot of water for about 2 hours. Next, cook it in a cup of water so that it gets soft. Let it cool so that it can be made into a coarse powder.
- Mix all the other ingredients except oil in a large bowl. Once the dough is ready, make small cutlet Cshapedtikkis of the dough.
- Heat a pan with some oil in it and place the tikkis in it. Once they get cooked properly, serve them hot!

- Eggs- 2
- Oats- ¼ cup
- Milk- 3-4 tablespoon

- Turmeric Powder
- Pepper Powder
- Oil/Butter
- Chopped Onion- ¼ cup
- Chopped Capsicum- ¼ cup
- Chopped Tomato- ¼ cup
- Chopped Green Chillies – 2
Steps-
- Take a bowl and mix flour, salt, turmeric powder and pepper in it. Add milk in it so as to make thick batter.
- Beat eggs into this batter and mix well.
- Take a non-stick pan and pour little oil in it. Put the batter into the pan.
- Sprinkle all the chopped vegetables on the batter and let it cook properly.

Ingredients-
- Oats- ¾ cup
- Puffed Rice – 1 cup
- Oil
- Peanuts/Cashews- ¼ cup
- Mustard- ½ teaspoon
- Jeera- ½ teaspoon
- Broken Red chili- 1
- Curry leaves
- Green chillies- 1
- Crushed Garlic- 1
- Fried Gram- ½ teaspoon
- Chopped Dried coconut- ¼ cup
- Salt
- Hing
- Turmeric Powder
Steps-
- Place a pan on the flame and dry roast the puffed rice and oats in it.
- Take another pan and heat oil in it. Add jeera, mustard to it. Once it starts spluttering, add peanuts, cashews and red chilli to it. Put in garlic, green chillies and curry leaves as well.
- Once this is fried for a minute, add coconut and gram as well. Let the coconut get fried properly.
- Add salt, chilli powder and turmeric for taste. Turn off the flame.
- Now, add puffed rice and Oats to this mixture and mix well.
- Toss it so that everything gets mixed properly. Your Oats Chivda is ready!

Oats Dahi vada
In summers, we always have a desire to eat something that gives a soothing feeling. So, try something new with this recipe!
Ingredients-
- Oats- 2 cup
- Water- 1 cup
- Curd
- Salt
- Red Chili Powder
- Urad Dal- ½ cup
- Green Chillies
- Curry leaves
- Coconut Pieces
- Chana Dal
- Oil
- Moong Dal- ½ cup
- Tamarind Chutney
Steps-
- Keep Moong Dal and Urad Dal in water for a night. The next day, you need to crush them into a thick paste using very little water.
- Grind Oats and put this powder in this mixture. Next, add coconut, green chillies, curry leaves and salt to it.
- In a pan, pour little oil. Add Urad dal and Moong dal to it. Pour this mixture over the batter.
- Deep fry small lumps of the batter. Once all the Vadas are fried, soak them in water for 10 minutes.
- Take a large bowl and mix curd and salt in it. Squeeze the Vadas to remove water and put them in the curd mixture.
- Garnish with red tamarind Chutney, coriander leaves and red chili powder and serve cold.
