
Rabdi is the most common sweet dish of India. It is made on festivals like Holi and Diwali. But have you ever tried variations in it? So here are 20 types of rabdi that you should definitely try.
1. Plain Rabdi
Plain Rabdi is tasty. But it seems delicious to those who loves creamy milky taste with cream lumps in it and milk becomes half the quantity.
Ingredients
- Milk- 1 litre.
- Sugar- 100 grams.
- Chopped dry fruits (madam, pista, raisins)- 1 tsp.
- Cardamom- 2 pieces.
- Nutmeg (jaifal) to taste.
- Saffron to taste.
Steps
- Put a pan on gas. Lubricate it with ghee and then put milk in it. Heat the milk on the gas until it turns creamy and cream lumps form above it or heat it until it becomes half it’s quantity. Mix it from time to time. Pan is lubricated with ghee in order to avoid milk to stick on pan.
- Then put icing sugar in the creamy milk. Heat the milk for 5 minutes.
- Then put off the gas and add dry fruits, nutmeg, cardamom and saffron in the milk.
- Keep it in fridge only if you want to eat it cold. Otherwise serve the hot rabdi in bowls to eat.

2. Custard Apple Rabdi
This kind of rabdi is very refreshing and mouth-watering. Eating custard apple alone or eating rabdi alone is not enough to your mouth. Why not try mixing these two!
Ingredients
- Milk- 1 litre.
- Custard apple- 400 grams.
- Sugar- 100 grams.
- Chopped dry fruits- 1 tsp.
- Cardamom- 2 pieces.
- Nutmeg to taste.
- Saffron to taste.
Steps
- Lubricate a pan with ghee. Add milk in the pan and boil it on low flame until it becomes creamy and cream lumps form in it and milk becomes half in quantity. Mix it from time to time.
- Add icing sugar in the creamy milk. Then heat the milk for 5 minutes.
- Then put off the flame and add the rest of the ingredients in milk. Then cool it.
- Then remove the seeds from custard apple and all the pulp in the cold milk.
- Serve it in bowls.

3. Strawberry Rabdi

Ingredients
- Milk- 1 litre.
- Sugar- 100 grams.
- Strawberries- 50 grams.
- Strawberry syrup- ½ tsp.
- Chopped dry fruits- 1 tsp.
- Cardamom- 2 pieces.
- Nutmeg to taste.
- Saffron to taste.
Steps
- Make plain rabdi as mentioned above in 1: Plain Rabdi recipe.
- Add strawberry syrup in it before cooling it if you want cold rabdi or add the syrup when the rabdi is hot.
- Then chop the strawberries and add its pieces in rabdi. Mix it nicely to get a good taste.
- Serve it in bowls.

4. Banana Rabdi
Sometimes eating only bananas are boring. It’s said that eating milk with banana is healthy. So why not eat it in a different way. Let’s try the banana rabdi!
Ingredients
- Banana- 3 (mashed).
- Sugar- 4 tbsp.
- Milk- 1 litre.
- Chopped dry fruits- 2 tsp.

- Heat the milk in the lubricated pan and boil it on the middle or low flame until it becomes a little creamy and half in quantity. Mix it from time to time.

5. Apple Rabdi

- Sugar- 70-80 grams.
- Mango- 2 pieces.
- Cashews- 3.
- Almonds- 3.
- Cardamom-3.
- Pistachios- 6-7.
Steps
- Boil the milk in the vessel on medium or low flame until it gets thin and creamy and half it’s quantity. Mix it from time to time.
- Add sugar in milk and boil for other 5 minutes.
- Chop the mangoes. Put off the flame and immediately add chopped mangoes in it. Then chop other ingredients and add it into the creamy milk.

7. Pineapple Rabdi

- Milk- 60 to 70 ml.
