20 Five Minute Recipes To Beat Your Hunger

We all are very familiar with the phrases like “Good Food, Good Mood” or “Food is my Best friend” and many other food related phrases. The point is everybody loves food especially when the former is hungry. The mood gets even better if the food is delivered in a couple of minutes or so hammering the hunger. So here are 20 easy and quick recipes which can whack your hunger making you and your tummy happy.

1Gram Flour Chilla

This is personally one of my favourite recipes of all times. You can call it your ‘Veg Omelette’ as well.

Ingredients

  • Besan (Gram flour) – 1 cup
  • Ajwain (Carom seeds) – ¼ teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon
  • Garam masala – ¼ teaspoon
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water
  • Oil

Here  you can add various veggies to it as well like chopped onions, capsicum, tomato etc or can skip it and make a plain Chilla as well. The choice is completely yours.

Method

  1. Take gram flour, carom seeds and all the spices together and mix it well.
  2. Add all the vegetable cuttings (onion, tomato, carrot, capsicum, green chilli) to the mixture so that  veggies are coated well with the flour.
  3. Add little amount of water to the combination and blend well to get a lump free batter because if you tip all the water at the same time you will be getting lump full batter. Continue the procedure until you get a runny batter. Add salt according to your taste.
  4.  Place a pan on medium heat and drizzle two tablespoons of oil upon it. Once hot, pour the spoonful batter and spread it in a round shape structure. Let the Chilla cook on one side for a couple of minutes until it attains golden brownish colour.
  5. Dribble some oil on top and then flip it. Cook it for the same interval of time until the right colour is obtained.
  6. Once cooked, serve it in a plate with ketchup or chilli sauce or dhania (coriander) Chutney.
