
Raita is an Indian dish made with yogurt and served as side dishes along with the various main course. Raita can be sweet, sour, spicy and fruity made with various kinds of fruits and vegetables. Flavors are added by adding different herbs and spices to it. Raita is mainly served with Biriyani, pulao, and parathas. Yogurt is basically cooling, so Raitas are good for health especially in tropical countries like India.

Boondi Ka Raita
Boondi is a Rajasthani snack made of chickpea flour. Small balls are made out of the flour dough and friend in oil. These are known as boondi. These are crispy and golden brown in color. Boondi, when soaked in yogurt, becomes too soft and melts in our mouth. Boondi ka Raita is a north Indian dish served with biriyani or pulao.
Ingredients – Boondi, a bowl of yogurt, salt, chaat masala, mint leaves.
procedure –
Soak the boondi in Luke warm water. They will become soft.
Squeeze these boondis so that the water runs out.
Add these boondis to the yogurt.
Add salt to taste and some chaat masala and top it with mint leaves.

Cucumber Raita
Cucumber Raita is a type of Raita which can b used as a dip or salad. It is made by mixing grated cucumber, green chilies, and yogurt. Occasionally onion and tomato can also be added. This Raita is very refreshing and good for health. It keeps our body cool so it is preferred in the summer season.
Ingredients – one cucumber, a bowl of yogurt, salt, red chili powder, chaat masala, coriander leaves.

Heat frying pan and Phool makhana or fox nut.
Dry roast the phool makhana.

Chop Ladies fingers.
Add oil in a pan and fry the chopped ladies fingers for 5-6 minutes until they get cooked.
Whisk yogurt.
Add the fried ladies fingers to it and mix well.

Ingredients – a bowl of yogurt, garlic, cumin powder, red chili powder, salt, coriander leaves.
Procedure –
Whisk the yogurt until it turns creamy and smooth.
Add finely chopped garlic to the yogurt.
Add roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt.
